Double-layered helmet in the form of a court cap eboshi kabuto, Edo period (1603 - 1868)
The bowl of helmet is painted with black kuronuri lacquer with a gilded comb, fukigaeshi and kiritsuke sane shikoro. The neck protection is four-piece, laced in the sukage style with blue cord, with red-orange mimi ito, the color of which corresponds to the kabuto no ó chinstrap. The edge of the ukebari lining is lined with printed egawa deerskin. The frontal jewel maedate is made of gilded wood in the form of a demonic creature kijin.
