A dynamic sculpture depicting a battle scene between two fantastical creatures: a lion with distinctly predatory features and a dragon with an elongated, serpentine body covered in scales. The composition is based on a spiral arrangement of forms, in which the dragon’s body coils around the lion’s silhouette, creating a compact structure full of tension.
The sculpture makes use of the root’s natural form, which gives the piece its irregular and organic character.
