Émile Picault (1833 - 1915) - French sculptor, student of Henri Royer. He created in an allegorical and patriotic spirit. He was often inspired by figures of French warriors or mythological heroes. He was often inspired by the Middle Ages, depicting the inhabitants and musicians of the time. In 1883, he received a distinction at the Paris Salon.
