Late 18th-century Cherrywood Console Table
A console table made entirely of solid cherry wood and featuring a late 18th-century cherry wood panel, of Sicilian origin. It features a simple and elegant design, with a recessed gray marble top and, beneath the top, two hidden drawers—one of which opens as a flap, revealing two smaller drawers inside. The entire piece is supported by four turned columns resting on four carved feet, with bases shaped like goat hooves. The four columns and the four feet are connected at the bottom by a shaped panel. The piece has been fully restored and is in excellent condition. It should be noted that the marble was glued in the past, though this is hardly noticeable, and the two drawer locks have been replaced since the originals were missing. Finally, it should be noted that the console table, in addition to being very elegant and featuring a minimalist style, is suitable for any setting thanks to its compact proportions.
