Sicilian Chest Of Drawers, Second Half Of The 19th Century
A distinctive Sicilian chest of drawers from the second half of the 19th century, crafted entirely from solid chestnut wood. The upper section features drawers with fronts composed of applied frames arranged to form geometric panels. The lower section is shaped like a small console table with a drawer beneath the top and is supported by turned spindle legs connected by a crossbar, with a small turned pinecone inserted at its center as a decorative element. The piece is completed by its small, original bronze handles. Given its unique design and dimensions, this cabinet is easy to place and can be used for a variety of purposes, such as a document holder, storage unit, etc. The cabinet is original and intact in all its parts and has been fully restored.
