Gilt Bronze And Marble Pendulum Clock From The Second Half Of The 19th Century

This pendulum clock, complete with candelabra, is made of white Carrara marble and gilded bronze and dates back to the second half of the 19th century. It features a portico-shaped base with a demi-lune decoration in the center, resting on four small feet. From these bases rise four columns with bronze bases and capitals, surmounted by four small pine cones. The four columns support the clock case, which features a white enamel dial with a double winding hole, Arabic numerals, and floral garlands. The underside of the case is richly decorated in gilded bronze in the shape of a garland of flowers. The upper part features a large central pine cone made of white marble and embellished with gilded bronze trimmings. The clock pendulum is shaped like a flower vase, made of bronze. Candelabras with a half-moon base, also decorated in gilded bronze in the center and supported by four small bronze feet, have a columnar shaft with a bronze base and capital with an acanthus leaf motif, from which three branches branch out in the shape of leafy tendrils and a central arm decorated with a leaf motif. The clock is in working order and chimes on the hours and half-hours.
