A lovely mantelpiece set in high-quality gilded and silvered bronze, consisting of a pair of two-light candelabra, each adorned with an antique-style figure, lion muzzles, and medallions depicting mythological scenes (height 28 cm), and a clock (height 27.5 cm) decorated with a bird watching for an insect, plant motifs, a goat’s head, and a battle scene, all sides fully decorated.
White enamel dial with railway-style minute track and Roman numeral hour markers; mechanical movement by Japy Frères, featuring three globes; broken balance staff; minor imperfections on the dial.
