"Pair Of Mid-19th Century Porcelain Cornucopia Vases"
Pair of porcelain vases in the shape of a cornucopia of French origin from the mid-19th century. Decorated on a white background, they present beautiful compositions of bouquets of flowers in the central part, finely painted, in bright colors, with the final part of the vase depicting an eagle's head partly highlighted in pure gold. The side part of the vase is decorated with gold ornaments in relief on a green background. Rectangular base with scrolls with red decoration with gold accents. The vases are not marked but in one of the two the letter P is impressed in the porcelain and it cannot be excluded that the two vases may be a workmanship by "Jacob Petit" as in shape, model and type of decoration, they are very similar to his creations.
