Water-dropper From The Shipwreck Off The Coast Of Hoi An (15th Century)
Vietnamese porcelain (or porcelain stoneware) water-dropper for making chinese ink, shaped like a deer and painted with cobalt blue underglaze.
In very good condition with a glaze that is still quite shiny.
In the same cargo, archaeologists found other examples shaped like monkeys, buffalos, elephants, turtles, frogs, fishes…
