French School 181 5: "naples Harbour"
School French 1815: "Port de Naples", wash drawing 14.4 X18.3 cm mounted with a gilt bevel pass in a modern frame 32 X 35 cm.
Slight foxing at top, monogrammed G. P. y., located Naples and dated 1815, last year of the Napoleonic Kingdom of Naples.
Incredibly meticulous, revealing the smallest details, sometimes just a few millimeters, such as the two monks in the foreground, the fishermen in the boat, children at play, or the mother breast-feeding her child on a bench while watching her eldest child in a kind of youpala...
Architecture is also described down to the last tile, lending the whole a naïve charm.
