Carlo Arienti (1801–1873) Study Of A Female Figure

Artist: Carlo Arienti
A beautiful pencil study by the Lombard painter Carlo Arienti (Arcore 1801–Bologna 1873), who studied at the Brera Academy before moving to Rome, where he attended the Academy of San Luca. He focused on classical and historical subjects but also created splendid portraits, such as that of Vincenzo Bellini.
