Large Louis XV Style Stamped Marquetry Chest Of Drawers, Early 20th Century, Marble Top, Marquetry
Very handsome and large Louis XV-style chest of drawers in precious wood marquetry, with two drawers in two rows.
It stands on four arched legs and opens on the front with two large superimposed drawers with no visible crosspiece. The lock on the upper drawer allows the lower drawer to be locked at the same time.
Our chest of drawers is curved on all three sides and entirely decorated with a magnificent marquetry composed of interlacing and miscellaneous work.

It is adorned with an attractive ornamentation of chased bronzes:
Two falls starting from the top of the two front feet cover the entire edge of each foot and integrate the tip shoe.
Four beautiful draw handles and two rocaille-shaped lock escutcheons complete the ensemble. Finally, an attractive bronze applique adorns the bottom of our chest of drawers at the base and center of the lower drawer.
The whole is topped with beige and ochre veined marble, which is embellished with "bec de corbin" work around the edge;
A workshop stamp is present on the top of the right rear leg and represents the initials L.C contained in a cartouche, a sign of high quality workmanship.
