18th Century Louis XV Chest Of Drawers flag

Object description :

"18th Century Louis XV Chest Of Drawers"
Chest of drawers, called ''en tombeau'', from the 18th century, in kingwood veneer, strongly curved on the front and on the sides.
It opens with four drawers in three rows (two drawers in the upper row). The drawer interiors are carefully crafted in solid walnut.
One will notice on the facade as well as on the sides, a decoration in ''butterfly wings'' in reserves underlined with ''Greek-style'' nets in amaranth and boxwood.
This elegant chest of drawers is topped with a thick grey-red marble surrounded by a ''bec de corbin'' molding.
To perfect its quality of execution, it is adorned with a rich trim of finely chiseled and gilded ''Rocaille'' bronzes (foliaged handles, large keyholes, openwork bronze drops on the front uprights and on the hooves)
