Transition Style Chest Of Drawers
Small marquetry commode in the Transition style. It opens with three drawers in the front. Cabriole legs, chamfered front uprights, projecting back uprights. Extensive marquetry work: fluting, a medallion with a floral bouquet and tied ribbon, interlacing patterns, Greek key motifs, and stringing. Ornamented with stylized bronze mounts: keyhole escutcheons, drawer pulls, corner mounts, apron, and sabots. Gray veined marble top with a reverse cavetto molding. French polished in our workshop.
