A beautiful Bordeaux-style chest of drawers, known as an “arbalète,” made of solid mahogany, with a flowing shape on all sides; crafted in the Bordeaux region during the second half of the 18th century, Louis XV period.
The front features three drawers arranged in three rows, highlighted by an elegant scalloped line characteristic of Bordeaux craftsmanship.
The crossbars and uprights display remarkable curved detailing, giving the piece a particularly harmonious silhouette.
The piece rests on four curved legs ending in scrolls.
It is topped by a thick marble slab in shades of cream and ochre, which perfectly follows the curves of the frame.
The front reveals a superb grain of flamed and speckled mahogany.
The gilded bronze pull handles and keyholes add a beautiful decorative accent and complement the warmth of the wood perfectly.
