Elegant Empire-period drop-leaf secretary desk in light walnut, featuring the sober and monumental design characteristic of the First Empire.
The front is framed by two freestanding columns topped with gilded bronze rings, resting on cylindrical bases that enhance the piece’s majestic appearance.
The drop-leaf top conceals a refined interior consisting of a central niche framed by small columns, as well as five small storage drawers.
It also reveals a writing desk covered in golden fawn leather with a small iron inlay, offering a functional and elegant workspace.
The lower section features three front drawers, each fitted with bronze pull knobs.
The walnut wood displays a beautiful natural grain in warm tones, enhanced by an antique patina.
