Important Louis XV period "secrétaire à guillotine" in precious wood veneer, French work of the 18th century.

This very elegant piece of furniture features a curved front adorned with a remarkable geometric veneer decoration in butterfly wings and scalloped reserves.

The upper part opens with two latticed leaves revealing a storage space.

The central part with flap reveals a beautiful interior layout composed of racks, shelves and small drawers.

The lower part opens with two doors discovering additional storage space.

Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes such as sabots, keyways and falls.

Beautiful curved line typical of Louis XV furniture.

Very fine quality of cabinetwork and superb warm patina.
