Elegant and sober First Empire clock (wire movement) Portico with round columns set with finely chased and gilded bronze capitals and bases, said portico in black Carrara marble, white enameled dial signed Rayssal in Castres, surrounded by finely chased gilded bronze, Roman numerals and blued steel hands. It rests on an entablature itself supported by attractive gilded guilloche feet; a highly refined piece for a clock from the early 19th century with its key and pendulum.
