Pendulum Clock With Alabaster Base
Pendulum clock with alabaster base and metal alloy statue.
Made in the nineteenth century in Italy and recently overhauled, then working.
The lion's feet support an alabaster base, surmounted by an image of a man,
probably absorbed in the act of writing a poem.
In fact, at his side, above the clock face, we find the papyrus and the lyre.
The base has undergone a restoration as evidenced by the photos
