Louis XV Period Provencal Armchair, Provence 18th Century, Cabriolet
Superb Louis XV period cabriolet armchair, Provencal work from the mid-18th century.
This seat is carved with flowers on the base, the front crosspiece and the top of the back.
Acanthus leaves on the shoulder.
Armrests with a beautiful "coup de fouet".
Seat legs ending in shells, including on the rear legs of the chair.
Very nice, thick and pleasantly flowing molding work throughout the seat.
This cabriolet is in superb condition and also has very recently redone upholstery. The upholstery is therefore impeccable.
The cover fabric is extremely elegant, a satin-finish fabric with a very delicately embroidered field flower motif in very slight relief (see penultimate photo).
The patina is superb.
An outstanding example of Provencal work from the mid 18th century.
