Louis XV Rocaille-style Cabriolet Armchair In Walnut, Old Gold Velvet Upholstery, Late 19th Century

A charming Louis XV Rocaille-style cabriolet armchair in solid walnut, dating from the late 19th century to the early 1900s.
This delightful chair rests on four curved legs topped with scroll-like finials.
The seat rail is richly carved and decorated with a beautiful asymmetrical Rocaille motif.
The shield-shaped backrest is also richly carved with a second asymmetrical motif and features openwork detailing.
The upholstery is in very good condition; it is firm and very comfortable. The covering fabric is an antique gold-colored velvet, and the entire piece was reupholstered a few years ago.
Please note: there are several small, barely visible stains that do not affect the piece’s condition (see photos with arrows), and the fabric is slightly faded from sunlight, but this is not a serious issue.
