A very fine pair of Louis XIV style chairs in solid walnut, dating from the second half of the 19th century. Each seat rests on four console-shaped legs ending in scrolls and connected by an H-shaped stretcher also composed of small brackets. The backrest is high and inclined towards the rear, providing excellent back support. Each seat is in very good condition, recently reupholstered; it is firm and comfortable. The upholstery is a beautiful herringbone velvet with braid trim. Dimensions: backrest height 106 cm, seat height 55 cm, width 53 cm, seat depth 47 cm, overall depth 57 cm.
