Painting depicting a Dordogne landscape entitled "September in the Dordogne" by Gaston Pastré (1881-1947). Gaston Pastré was known for his engravings and illustrations. On the back of the panel is the exhibition stamp of the Armand Drouant Gallery, located at 66 rue de Rennes in Paris, from 1945 onwards. It was located at 35 rue de Seine from 1942 to 1944 and at numbers 35 and 37 of the same street from 1932 to 1940. Many great painters were exhibited in this gallery (see last photo). Our charming oil on panel is signed in the lower left corner and is sold with a beautiful gilt frame. Dimensions: frame: 39 cm x 47 cm; panel: 32.5 cm x 41 cm.
