Empire Period Liqueur Cellar In Creusot Crystal And Burl Walnut
Artist: Le Creusot
Beautiful early 19th century liqueur or whisky cellar. It features 6 Le Creusot crystal bottles in a luxurious walnut-veneered case with brass corners, rectractable handles and a blank monogrammed plate. The interior is lined with red morocco gilded with small irons. Each decanter has its own dedicated, numbered slot in the box, allowing you to map the spirits presented as several whiskies or Cognacs while knowing how to identify each one, even in the absence of a label.
This is late Empire or early Restoration work, in the 1820s.
The original glassware is cut crystal.
The set is in excellent condition. The decanters are intact, the stamped varnish has been cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker, minor localized veneering.
