Vintage "litron" Cup From The Consulate Period, Attributed To Darte—white And Gold Porcelain
A Directoire/Empire-period litron cup made of Paris porcelain,a beautiful design enhanced by a rich decoration of scrolls and palmettes gilded with fine gold in a very meticulous manner, with a matte and glossy finish (polished with agate). Superior quality craftsmanship—the gilding is particularly deep and the design highly sophisticated—dating from the late 18th century or around 1800. Unsigned, the cup is attributed to the Darte Manufactory.
The set is in excellent condition. The gilding, of very fine quality, is intact, with no damage.
