French School, 18th Century, Pair Of Louis XVI Period Pastel Portraits

A pair of pastel portraits of aristocratic husband and wife from the Louis XVI period. They are presented in beautiful Louis XVI-style frames of giltwood, which retain their original blown glass panes, creating lovely reflections but making photography difficult. The subjects are dressed in the fashion of the 1780s. The colors are soft, the faces elegant and well-executed. The pair is in very good condition. The gilding is very fresh. No losses. Frame width: 57.7 cm. Frame height: 68.5 cm.
