Bronze Age Terracotta Juglet With Geometric Decoration
Magnificent small terracotta jug from the Bronze Age, decorated with geometric motifs painted on the body and neck. Dating from 2000 to 1000 BC, it comes from the holy region of the Middle East. Measuring 15 cm high and 9 cm in diameter, it has a small chip on the rim, but remains in excellent condition. Its terracotta construction is very thick.
Provenance: from an important Canadian collection, acquired at a Paris antiques auction in the 1990s.
