An exceptionally rare stone plaque from the Sabaean culture of Saba, South Arabia (modern-day Yemen), dating from the 5th-3rd century BC. The obverse of the plate depicts a magnificent stylized ram, facing left, with remarkably curved horns. Its tail is raised and its legs are bent. Incised lines adorn its body. The reverse bears a superb inscription composed of three Sabaean letters, surmounted by four letters of another language, probably another Arabic script.
