Marcelle BOTTON was born in Lyon in 1900. She died in 1978 (and not 1982 as some people mention). She was a pupil of Brunetton, Cabanne and Léonie Humbert-Vignot at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. She exhibited at the Salon de la Société lyonnaise des Beaux-Arts, of which she was a member in 1931, at the Salon d'automne and at the Salon des Artistes femmes de Lyon.
