Paul-Désiré Trouillebert, born on April 29, 1831 in the former 2nd arrondissement of Paris[1] and died in the same city on June 28, 1900, was a French painter of the Barbizon School.

A genre, portrait and nude painter who worked in an orientalist vein, he is best known for painting landscapes much inspired by Corot's later period.
He worked between his studios in Paris and Candes[2],[3],[4]. Here he will paint several river landscapes in his boat studio, between Saint-Germain-sur-Vienne, Montsoreau and Candes.
