Large Louis XV Style Andirons 19th Century Gilt Bronze
Very important pair of superbly chased ormolu andirons in the Louis XV style from the 19th century, decorated with sea-lovers and their functional back bars for active fireplaces. Original model by the famous 18th-century bronzemaker Cafieri, preserved at the Château de Versailles. This example from the 2nd half of the 19th century is in perfect condition.
