Magnificent living room painting representing a shepherdess with her cows and goat at the edge of a lake on the edge of the forest, oil on canvas signed lower right and dated 1837, of great quality of execution, fineness of details and especially work of the trees. The light of the painting and the warm colors intensifies the subject and the composition perfectly balanced. It also has its period restoration frame in perfect condition and gilded with gold leaf. Large format. Famous Italian landscape painter, he was born in Bologna at the end of the 18th century (1792) and is exhibited in many museums in northern Italy as well as in Europe. Painting probably executed for the Salon des Beaux Arts of 1837.
