Cuivre Décoratif , Chauffe Bain XVIIIème Pour Servir De Porte Plantes , Cannes - Umbrellas
This amusing and rare copper object is a bath heater from the 18th century.
The cast-iron interior has been removed to divert it from its original use as a plant stand, umbrella stand, cane stand etc....
Originally, our copper was used to heat and maintain the bath water at a pleasant temperature;
To do this, it had to be filled with glowing embers and plunged into the water by means of the two horizontal iron rods that held the two side chimneys to the central body.
To note, some knocks and wear, proof of its authenticity.
Dimensions:
height 55 cm
width 46 cm
diameter of base 34 cm
diameter of neck 15 cm
Shipping and protection costs 35 euros in mainland France, other destinations please consult us.
