"First Half Of The 18th Century Large Copper Pot"
Unique and unusual large pot made of beaten and embossed copper. The pot has an ovoid shape, tapering towards the bottom, and features a tall foot decorated with geometric motifs and two ring handles. The lid features a refined decoration featuring a coat of arms featuring a tree surmounted by a flame and flanked by stars. Above it is the initials "B. I. VG," possibly attributable to the owner or regiment, while the bottom bears the date: "1742." The lid can be opened with a lock, and the inside of the pot is lined to retain heat and liquids. This is a rare object, suitable as a decorative element or as a firewood container, adding a touch of class and antiquity to any space. Swiss manufacture, first half of the 18th century (c. 1742).
