"Soup Tureen Forming A Bowl Or Centerpiece In Limoges Porcelain With Gold Inlay Alain Babule"
Magnificent soup tureen in Limoges porcelain. Our soup tureen, as well as its lid, are each decorated with a large circular frieze made in double gold inlay with interior motifs representing foliage as well as flowers enhanced in shades of blue. It has a second frieze over almost the entire foot. A final frieze, identical to the others, decorates the inner rim of our soup tureen so that it can be presented without its lid and thus allowing it to be used either as a bowl or as a table centerpiece. The two handles as well as the fretel are entirely enhanced with fine gold. This remarkable work, entirely handmade, comes from the art workshops of Alain Babule in Limoges. His signature is present under the back of our porcelain.
