Large Plat Of Naples, Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea, From « Service Fiordalisi », 1792-95
Large Naples plat, Real Fabbrica Ferdinandea, from the "Fiordalisi Service," 1792-95, part of the "Fiordalisi" service, the centerpiece depicts the "Temple of Isis at Pompeii," inscribed in red on the reverse of the plate. The Fiordalisi service offers a repertoire of views of the same quality and originality as those of the "Neapolitan View Service"—better known as the Goose Service—made for the table of Ferdinand IV of Bourbon around 1793. (Regarding the Fiordalisi service, see Angela Carola Perrotti, "Le Porcellane dei Borbone di Napoli," 1986, pp. 462–464.)
