Large Limoges Porcelain Lamp Base, Hand-painted Floral Design, Atelier Marcel Caffy

A striking Limoges porcelain lamp base resting on a square base entirely painted in fine gold.
One side of the body is decorated with a charming bouquet of flowers rendered in shades of blue. The other side is decorated with a stylized rose rendered in fine gold.
The two sockets, shaped like busts of winged women, are also entirely decorated with fine gold.
This lamp is sold on its own, without a lampshade.
The electrical wiring is in good condition.
This lamp is signed “Caffy” on the lower part of the decoration. It also bears the studio’s stamp on the underside of its base.
Please note: due to a slight firing defect, the base of this lamp has undergone a slight deformation (a fairly common occurrence during firing) that does not affect the stability of the piece as a whole (see last photo).
