Louis XVI-style Chest Of Drawers With Marquetry And Bronze Ornaments, Marquetry, Revel (31)

Magnificent Louis XVI-style chest of drawers in mahogany and burl wood, featuring three drawers in three rows on the front.
The two lower drawers are stacked one above the other, without a crossbar, and decorated with a rectangular bronze frame featuring a heart-and-ray motif.
The top drawer is entirely covered by a wide bronze frieze featuring interlaced motifs.
The sides are adorned with a square frame featuring the same motif as the front and also topped by the same interlaced bronze frieze.
The front posts feature tapered columns; our chest of drawers rests on four tapered, fluted spindle legs, banded at the top and finished with bronze feet;
Bronze rings are used to open the drawers.
Lock plates in the Louis XVI knot style.
A beautiful piece of veined white Carrara marble tops this splendid piece of furniture. Note: there is a small stain on the marble (see last photo).
Beautifully crafted in Revel (31 - Haute-Garonne). A label indicating its origin is present on the underside.(see photo)
