SABRE TROUPE DE HUSSARDS, model An IV, engraved "LIORARD", Revolution - First Empire. 32698
Brass frame. Single-branch hilt with rooster hallmark (hallmark for revolutionary manufacture from 1793), marked with the maker's name "LIORARD". Long-tailed cap, beechwood handle sheathed in black waxed calfskin, brass filigree. Curved blade with hollow sides, length 82.5 cm. Scarlet cloth tie. Black varnished leather-covered beechwood scabbard with two large brass fittings with scalloped inner edges, brass bail pins and steel rings. Fully filed brass sting. Clevis with bowl entrance.
The two rings are connected by a braided brown leather fodder cord.
