Pair Of Cut Crystal Decanters With Solid Silver 800 Thousandths Mounts, Germany, Late XIth Century
Pair of cut crystal decanters with solid 800 thousandths silver mounts, Germany, late 19th century
Elegant pair of cut crystal decanters with cut sides, of particularly fine workmanship, characterized by the sharpness of the edges and the quality of the polishing, here preserved in remarkable condition without chips or alterations.
Each decanter features a finely structured 800-thousandths German sterling silver mounting, whose decoration is based on a rhythm of vertical reserves highlighted with stylized motifs, in a decorative vocabulary typical of the late 19th century. The clean, functional spouts match elegantly curved handles, maintaining a sober, balanced line.
.The perfectly fitted, hinged lids are surmounted by a baluster grip and feature original vermeil inside, providing a refined contrast to the brilliance of the silver.
The set captivates with its balance between the geometric rigor of the crystal and the measured presence of the setting, in a fine German production intended for elegant table use.
