Khorjin / Pannier Face. Qashqai. Persia. Circa 1880. 72 X 56 Cmcm
The weave has rarely been finer, and not without difficulty! It's the first sensation, to the eye and especially to the touch. Remarkable, impressive.
It's a Khorjin, as it's called, in other words a satchel once used by the nomadic populations of Persia to carry various goods.
On the upper part, you can still make out the slotted fastening system.
Personally, I find this piece exceptional, and I come back to the finesse of its weaving, which is moving.
Exclusively vegetal colors, in perfect harmony and softness. It's elegant, refined, everything we love.
Circa 1880
Very fine condition
