Coniferous Fireplace Inglenook Fireplace - 19th Century (queyras?)
Charming inglenook fireplace forming a bench-coffin in softwood (probably fir), dating from the 19th century.
This model features a traditional structure with antique joints, typical of mountain furniture, evoking in particular Queyras productions.
The original crosspieces of the seat were formerly transformed into trunks opening by means of hinges, added in the 19th century.
The side faces of the seat are made of a traditional wood frame.
The side and front panels are adorned with openwork and carved geometric decoration, enhanced by antique polychromy in red and green tones, preserved with a beautiful patina.
The set offers rustic quality workmanship, both functional and decorative, uncommon on the market.
Very good overall condition.
An authentic piece of regional furniture, ideal as the end of a fireplace or as a decorative element in a characterful interior.
