HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Tadamitsu lineage (Bizen Osafune): Given the signature, the Suguha-style Hamonand dimensions, this blade belongs to the Tadamitsu lineage of theBizen Osafune tradition of the late Muromachi period. This period marks a transition in which the swordsword is both a formidable weapon and a refined objet d'art.
