· 大阪 弥生 会館 (Osaka Yayoi Kaikan): This is the name of theplace of origin. The “Yayoi Kaikan” was a famous hotel located in theUmeda district, in the heart of Osaka, and was renowned for hostingbanquets and wedding ceremonies.
Since this establishmentno longer exists today, this set has become a sort of"collector’s item" or a historical testament to the golden age ofOsaka’s grand wedding venues. It is a beautiful vintage piece that embodiesthe history of a place where thousands of Japanese couples celebrated theirunion, making it a beautiful decorative piece and aprecious cultural memento!
This set is used during Shinto weddingsto symbolize union and prosperity.
It consists of:
· 3 cups(Sakazuki) ofincreasing sizes with vermilion and black finishes. In ascending order of size, they symbolize the past, thepresent, and the future.
· 1 raisedstand (Sanbo) richlydecorated. The square base withdecorative openings is used to display the cups in a ceremonial manner
. 1 Matching presentation tray . It fits onto the stand and holds the cups in place.
