Rare Roman blown glass bottle, datable to the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.

Resting on a wide base, it features an elegant globular body extended by a narrow neck, topped by a widely flared lip finely worked with tongs. The whole is completed by a wide, well-attached handle, giving the piece a beautiful harmony of proportions.

The glass, blown, reveals numerous manufacturing bubbles, characteristic of ancient productions, as well as a green tint typical of Western European workshops. The surface is enriched with a superb iridescent patina, with green highlights, testifying to its antiquity and burial.
