Grand Pot à Lait Tripode - Manufacture De Clignancourt - Paris Porcelain - 18th Century

The breakfast milk jug appeared in the 18th century. It is used to serve milk or cream that is mixed with coffee, tea or chocolate. It generally comes in 3 sizes and belongs to a breakfast set. Its look is stable and comfortable. The rim cut-out, the start of the handle and its attachment as well as its three feet are delicate.

A spherical body, with a rounded base supported by 3 feet forming branches, wide spout with a moving rim. Flattened raised handle.

HARD porcelain.

White background with polychrome flowers. At the edge, a wide band with a brown background decorated with a garland of foliage interspersed with 2 circular reserves adorned with a rose, surrounded by gold fillets and garlands of foliage, gold fillets at the edges. Gold highlights on the handle and feet.

Mark(s) : Despite wear, the red stencil mark "LXS" for Louis Xavier Stanislas COMTE de PROVENCE and "M" for Monsieur COMTE de PROVENCE can still be seen,
