Neo-Gothic bronze with brown and gold patina, depicting a medieval-style aedicula. The sides adorned with escutcheons, the corners flanked by statuettes in high relief. The top crowned with a dome.The whole resting on an alabaster or marble base.French work, circa 1830-150 (reign of Louis Philippe).

Based on medieval architecture, this piece is reminiscent of the Troubadour style so popular under Louis Philippe.Finely chased and partially gilded, it is possible that this piece is actually a box with a seized lid. It is therefore being sold with no guarantee of being able to be opened.
