Claude Galle, Large Pair Of Empire Period Candlesticks.
Artist: Claude Galle
A large and rare pair of chased and gilded bronze candlesticks with antique-style female heads. On a base adorned with palmettes and fleurons, three central claw feet support the fluted quiver-shaped stem. Three antique-style female heads punctuate the top of the stem. At their summit, the candle holders are shaped like vases decorated with palmettes and anthemums.
