The cassolette holds three candle arms simulating hunting horns, each end of which supports a bobeche chased with long water leaves. These rare Athenian-style candelabra are similar to models by Pierre Gouthière or Pierre-Philippe Thomire.
Several examples of similar design are described in the reference book Vergoldete Bronzen, pages 264 to 271.
They are in fine condition. Original mercury gilding, normal wear, uncleaned.
Late 18th century, between 1790 and 1800.
