Rare and authentic wrought iron chest lock front, of German manufacture, characteristic of the first quarter of the 16th century.
This piece consists of three distinct elements: a base plate decorated with three trefoil clovers and pierced with four holes for fastening, a decorative plate riveted to the upper part, and an elegant heart-shaped keyhole surround.
The whole piece testifies to the skill of German workshops and is fully in keeping with the production of Gothic chests of this period.

Condition: perfect, with a very beautiful original dark patina.
